Lumina Charity and Welfare Foundation

Illuminating pathways to success, building leaders

Lumina Charity and Welfare Foundation stands as hope and transformation pathway in Nigeria’s educational landscape. Born with the belief that every child deserves an equal opportunity to succeed, we have dedicated ourselves to breaking down the barriers that have traditionally limited young people’s potential across our nation.

Our story begins with a simple yet powerful recognition, that the future of Africa rests in the hands of its young people. When we looked at the challenges facing Nigerian children, particularly in education, digital literacy, and personal development, we saw not insurmountable obstacles, but opportunities for meaningful change.

This is why Jerry Okungbowa David founded Lumina Charity and Welfare Foundation, bringing together a team of passionate individuals who share an unwavering commitment to youth empowerment. What makes us different is our holistic approach to development. We don’t just provide educational support, we create comprehensive programs that nurture the whole child.

From our celebrated Girl Child School Competition to our Boy Child empowerment initiatives, we recognize that true transformation happens when young people are given platforms to showcase their talents, develop their skills, and build confidence in their abilities.

Vision

Our vision is a Nigeria where every girl and boy, regardless of socioeconomic background, has equal access to quality education, digital resources, and opportunities to develop their unique talents. We envision a society where young people are confident contributors to national development, active participants in the digital economy, and empowered architects of their own futures. By 2030, we aim to directly impact 100,000 Nigerian girls and boys through our programs, creating a generation of digitally savvy, confident, and purpose-driven young people who will transform their communities and the nation at large.

Mission

Lumina charity and welfare foundation exists to illuminate pathways to success for Nigerian girls and boys through quality education, digital literacy, and holistic development opportunities.
